There is an expression said, “…and eventually people put their bet on luck.” As quoted from Abraham Lincoln, “diligence is the mother of good luck.” ‘Luck’ is the soul spirit of our ‘Ong series’. Ong series is the illustration of how our concern to maintain and do good treat of Indonesia’s treasure so that it could bring prosperous value and the color of wisdom to the people around the globe. Within the product, the spirit of commitment, diligency, and apreciation manifest into shape, form, weaving detail, and color. Rattan as the medium is the symbol of preserverance and the capability to be flexible with every transformation. We realize that the exagerated story telling about rattan sometimes turns out making gap between people and rattan. The idea is to develop an ideal (read: casual and proportional) relationship between rattan product as fashion commodity with user as transformative human.
We PT. Homeware International Indonesia, who has been contributing in promoting Indonesia’s craftsmanship value since 1998, understand the narration and put our totallity in our very own ‘Ong’ series.
